MTDA Contacts
The Multicultural Tourism Development Alliance
is a group where the industry can join together in anticipation
and preparation for a dramatic shift in consumer buying and service
requirements over the next twenty years. Although the industry began
to focus on ways to incorporate all ethnic communities into a national
tourism product in late 1995, a sense of commitment, inclusion and
acceptance simply has not materialized. Thus, the industry is exposed
to the potential of a highly politically charged initiative to force
a more inclusive environment.
M.T.D.A, through members of its Board of
Directors, has visiiblity in number of industry organizations. Board
members are active supporters of the National Association of Black
Meeting Planners, Inter-American Travel Agents Society, Travel Industry
Association, National Association of Museums to mention only a few.
M.T.D.A. has received broad support from
the community as expressed from the National Association of Black
Telecommunications Worker. Additionally, as a result of its leadership
role in " Princeville 2000", the Mayor of the town of Princeville
along with members of the Congressional Black Caucus have recognized
MTDA as a true asset to the community.
